# Zan Huang

> It is a little complicated to summarize the nature of the things I work on into one coherent biography. I hope I can explain myself through the juxtaposed collage of my interests and experiences. I work across computational neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and music composition, and I maintain that integration is just as important as depth.

The contemporary condition often separates a person into economically useful parts; that does not create a coherent model of reality. True depth, on this site, comes from a careful synthesis between the arts and sciences across seemingly disparate domains: neurologically inspired modularity, mechanistic interpretability, computational theories of cognition, and composition.
